Crucial Beer Links

I've put together a small (though it'll probably grow out of hand) list of important beer links (to me).

Beers on the "Don't Drink" list

Epic Brewers
  • BrewDog - Not for the faint of heart. This stuff all packs a punch. I have a strange obsession with their products.
  • Mikkeller - A gypsy brewer (home brewer that now brews using the facilities of various craft breweries) that pushes the limits. I discovered them via my BrewDog obsession.
  • Stone - Their Smoked Porter blew my mind. They are big enough to really push the craft beer cause. They are a distributor for a number of other craft brewers in addition to being an awesome brewery.
  • DogFish Head - Previously said this place wasn't that great. I think it was because I'd mostly had the overly hoppy bears. These guys do it right. Their World Wide Stout was the first time I really experienced extreme beer. I was given it as a gift (thanks Moose!) and had no idea what it was. Just dumped it in a pint glass and attempted to go to town. If you go to one of their restaurants, get a 75 Minute. It's an excellent mid point between the 60 and the 90. 60 isn't hoppy enough and 90 is too much for me on most days.
